10:00-10:15 Introduction, Charlotte Shelton, Owner, Albemarle Ciderworks

10:15-11:00 Ben Watson, author of Cider: Hard and Sweet, will talk about the history and context of cider.

11:00-12:00 Greg Peck, VaTech pomologist, will discuss cutting edge economic and research issues of the emerging cider industry in this region
